Such a sweet little shop. The “coffee” sign out the front drew us in, and when we opened the door it felt like we walked into a home full of antiques. We interrupted the owners breakfast but he ushered us to take a seat, took our coffee orders and served with water and cookies. He offered toys to our 5 year old, and kimono to us. It felt like visiting your grandparents home. He does not speak much English, and sat with us as we drank, but very sweet overall. I imagine many people walk in and straight back out but it’s worth staying and spending some time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a delightful surprise this cafe was! I would def make this beautiful cafe a MUST VISIT place. The elderly owner was so sweet and kind. Despite not knowing any english, he tried to communicate and eas very welcoming. We tried to communicate back with what little japanese we knew, and he was so delighted. He was with some regulars, also only japanese speaking , engaging with conversation with us- it was clear he enjoys the company. He gifted each of us a beautiful yukata each, which was such a lovely gesture.

Very cute and quaint coffee shop. We loved the vibes and atmosphere that was nice to relax in after the hustle and bustle of Nishiki market. You can get iced or hot coffee (either black or with cream and sugar) along with a couple cookies for 500 yen. Inoue-san’s coffee was gentle and delicious. What stood out for us was his service and friendliness. Even though his English was limited and our Japanese was very basic, he still spent time to make conversation with us during our stay. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone in the area! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
