Spent a week in 204 ~ My room and the hotel grounds were as depicted in online photos ~ Shower from icy to scalding with a digital display of temperature so, with a little practice, I could hit 48 degrees, as I like it ~ Wi-fi was adequate if not super-strong ~ The room TV will surf YouTube and other services I did not really explore ~ Staff was consistently upbeat and positive ~ The hotel is on the quiet side of the river ~ The pool gets sun from morning to around 16:00 ~ My room had a view of the river, could watch kids jump from the old bridge into the muddy Nam Song most days ~ It’s a ten-minute walk to the night market, half-hour wander to Jang cave ~ Breakfast from a menu with a half-dozen options ~ Had smoked Atlantic salmon with cream cheese on toast most mornings, will post a couple pics ~ Left quite happy with the Intimate Riverside and do not hesitate to recommend it ~

Lovely property, well maintained. Courteous staff and very helpful with tips on what to do and where to go We received a room that had a terrible odor, but it was taken care of immediately and effectively

Terrible service, shady billing, and shocking hygiene. Our stay at Intimate Riverside Resort Vang Vieng was a nightmare from start to finish. The staff were rude and dismissive from check-in, showing zero willingness to help with even basic requests. What made it worse was their blatant attempt to overcharge us — mysterious fees appeared on the bill that were never mentioned at booking, and when we questioned them, the staff became hostile and couldn’t provide any reasonable explanation. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their guests. On top of that, the hygiene was appalling. The room was not properly cleaned — there were stains on the bedsheets, hair in the bathroom, and dust everywhere. The bathroom itself felt like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in weeks. For the price they charge (and try to overcharge), the cleanliness standards are absolutely unacceptable. The riverside location might look nice in photos, but no scenery can make up for terrible service, dishonest billing, and dirty rooms. Save your money and stay elsewhere. Will never return. 服务态度极差、乱收费、卫生状况令人堪忧。入住Intimate Riverside Resort Vang Vieng的体验简直是一场噩梦。从办理入住开始，前台工作人员就态度冷漠，对客人的基本需求爱答不理。更离谱的是，结账时账单上莫名多出了好几笔预订时根本没有提及的费用，质疑后工作人员不仅解释不清，态度反而变得更加恶劣，一副”爱住不住”的嘴脸。整个感觉就是把客人当冤大头，想方设法多收钱。 卫生问题更是不忍直视。房间明显没有认真打扫过，床单上有污渍，浴室里有残留的头发，家具上到处是灰尘。卫生间感觉已经很久没有做过深度清洁了，整体非常脏。收着这样的价格（还想着多收），卫生标准却如此不堪，实在说不过去。 河边的风景照片拍出来确实好看，但再美的景色也掩盖不了糟糕的服务、不透明的收费和脏乱的房间。奉劝大家省下这笔钱，去住别的酒店。绝不会再来第二次。

Your reservation was made and fully prepaid through an OTA platform, and no additional or hidden charges were applied by our hotel. During your stay, you did not use any extra services or facilities that would incur additional fees.The only charge applied was for a lost key card. As clearly stated on the key card holder provided at check-in, a fee of 5 USD applies in case of loss. However, we only charged 4.5 USD Regarding your comments on cleanliness and staff behavior, we take these matters very seriously.
