Planning your trip, pay attention to Yakushi-in Temple and remember to decide where to eat: this restaurant is right aside the mentioned attraction. Locals appreciate Japanese dishes at Ippudo. It's a pleasant experience to order nicely cooked japanese ramen, broth and gyoza.

The success of this place would be impossible without the well-trained staff. Nice service is something guests like here. You will definitely appreciate the quiet atmosphere and modern decor. But this spot has been rated below average by Google.

This is the Ippudo in Okayama. It is on one of the main streets in the city and is about halfway between Okayama Station and Okayama Castle. The menu at Ippudo locations in Japan is different from the ones that I have tried in San Francisco and Sydney. Those locations have a lot more side items, whereas the focus is on ramen in Japan which I much prefer. Had a great bowl of dan dan ramen and excellent gyoza here. I like that they have many toppings at your table to garnish the ramen to your liking. If you are looking for a solid bowl of ramen in Okayama, I highly recommend Ippudo.

Staff is friendly and the food was very good, the gyozas were perhaps a bit small but that’s the only complain I have Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
