Alphabet Dinner Club hitting up the "I" this month. Iron Barley's High Hog Ridge was an awesome pick. The restaurant is casual and relaxed. The staff were friendly and so helpful. The specials were incredible!! We had bacon bones as an appetizer which is rib tips that are fried and served with sauce. They were so good!! Most of us chose the 50/50 burgers which are half burger and half bacon. WOW. I had fried onions and bacon with pepper jack cheese. It was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. My only complaint was they forgot the bacon and onion on about 3 burgers. The waiter was super responsive and brought them right out. I love fried onions so I thought the portion of onion was a bit small but the burger was so good, it didn't matter too much. A couple friends ordered a massive steak and they said it was delicious. It has bacon butter on top of it!! Bacon butter. That's a thing!! A few girls split a gooey butter cookie sundae with strawberry chocolate and vanilla ice cream and a strawberry habanero sauce. It was spectacular. The cookie was more of a small pie!! The ice cream was creamy, tasty and it is house made!! The habanero sauce was an interesting addition. It worked!! I would definitely go back.
