An outstanding addition to Atlanta and an omakase experience I am already planning to return for. My wife and I have done top-rated omakase in ATL, NYC, SEA and various locations across Japan - I can say with confidence Ishin meets the mark. Nothing gimmicky, just quality ingredients, incredible flavors, and a tasting experience that is all hits, no filler. Chef Ito and his team were highly professional and engaging and you can tell they care deeply about creating a great experience for all guests. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My wife and I visited Ishin Omakase last night, and it was hands down the best omakase experience I’ve had in the United States — and yes, I’m including New York in that statement. From the moment we sat down at the counter, the atmosphere was warm and intimate, the kind of place where you immediately feel welcomed rather than observed. The chefs engaged us in genuine conversation throughout the meal, and when we shared stories from our travels in Japan, they lit up — swapping recommendations and memories that made the evening feel less like dining out and more like being hosted by old friends. The menu unfolded beautifully, beginning with a vibrant sashimi of the day and an inspired oyster two ways before transitioning into an exceptional parade of nigiri. Each piece was generous and impeccably crafted — the Shima Aji was silky and delicate with a gorgeous shimmer of skin, the Toro arrived blanketed in shaved black truffle for an unforgettable bite of luxury, and every grain of rice was seasoned and tempered perfectly. The Gindara Saikyo Yaki intermezzo was a standout, the black cod beautifully caramelized and buttery with a stunning char. By the time the A5 Wagyu nigiri closed out the savory courses, we were genuinely moved by how exceptional this meal was. The sake pairing elevated everything further. We were guided through selections including a crisp Kirinzan and a lovely junmai ginjo made with Omachi rice, each chosen to complement specific courses rather than simply accompany them. The pairings showed real expertise, enhancing the briny sweetness of the uni and cutting through the richness of the toro and wagyu beautifully. Ishin is a true homage to Japanese cuisine — not a trendy reinterpretation, but a heartfelt tribute executed with skill and soul. If you’ve been fortunate enough to sit at a counter in Tokyo and experience that singular combination of craftsmanship, hospitality, and reverence for ingredients, you’ll recognize it here. We will absolutely be back. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My wife surprised me with a birthday dinner here. We’ve tried a few omakases but this one takes the cake. Not only is the food outstanding, Ito, the owner & chef is what truly makes this an extraordinary experience. Ito is not only caring of every guest, but his attention to detail with every guest is incredible. Jade & David were also both phenomenal. The atmosphere is extremely inviting, especially coming for the open sky bar outside of the restaurant. The employees are warm and do an amazing job making you feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back and recommend this experience to everyone we know. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
