Many people come to degust nicely cooked filet américain. You will enjoy good matcha latte, matcha or lavender latte at this cafe. Select between indoor and outdoor seating. The courteous staff welcomes visitors all year round. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. Isla Made Local Goods + Cafe is famous for its calm atmosphere. This was by far my favorite coffee spot in Rincon. The coffee is locally sourced from the island and freshly made. I got the iced latte with homemade honey and cinnamon syrup. It was the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Also had an iced Matcha which was pretty good, but the coffee was significantly better in my opinion. Had a power oat ball, which was also delicious. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing coffee shop experiences we had on the island. Parking is extremely limited, with only about four spaces available. The biggest issue was being charged an additional $1.75 per coffee for ice. The staff told us this was their policy, but the charge was never disclosed before we ordered, so it came as a complete surprise. During the rest of our trip, we visited several other coffee shops on the island and asked about this. Each seemed confused that we had been charged separately for ice, as none of them had a similar policy. It was also confusing that complimentary ice water was available while customers were charged extra for ice in their coffee. Another disappointment was that the shop selling the homemade goods is separate from the coffee shop and doesn’t always have the same operating hours. We were looking forward to browsing the local products, but it was closed while the coffee shop was open. The coffee itself tasted good, but the unexpected charges, lack of communication, and confusing customer experience overshadowed it. I won’t be returning. Hello Allie, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. That’s never our intention. It is important that I clarify though, as there seems to have been a misunderstanding and from what I read, you are telling other shops that this is a practice of ours. We do not charge for ice. Our iced beverages are a separate menu item as they are served in a significantly larger cup. A normal latte is 8 oz. - a large iced latte is 16 oz. The price increase for “iced” beverages is also displayed on our wall, as soon as you enter on the right. The additional cost reflects the larger beverage, not the ice itself. That said, we are sorry if this wasn’t clear during your visit. Our baristas did try their best communicate this and, as a courtesy, did not charge you for the large. We’ll use your feedback to make our menu even easier to understand. Regarding parking, , while it is limited, we do the best with the space available. We appreciate you recognizing that you enjoyed the coffee, and we wish you the best with the rest of your travels. -Melissa, owner
