Island Beach Cafe is a hidden gem! The moment you step in, you're greeted with warm smiles and the soothing sound of Lake Victoria's waves. Their Tilapia is FRESH and SO DELICIOUS like straight from the lake to your plate. The sunset views are the perfect backdrop for a chill evening with friends or family. Try their Rolex and Matooke too - solid local options! Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy good local foods. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The location is beautifully situated right by the water. But the rest was horrible. The service is extremely slow, we are used to wait at least an hour for our food in Uganda but this was next level; we waited for almost two hours! Furthermore the waitress tried to pressure us into talking to two male guests at the bar and wouldn’t accept our no. The food was not good. The beef was over cooked and not spiced well, the fries tasted like rotten oil. The chicken tasted bland and was mostly bones and fat, more than actual meat. Would definitely not recommend.
