I placed an order at 7:10 PM for jerk pork, stew peas, and fried dumplings. I was informed the dumplings would be fried fresh, which I agreed to. I was the only customer at the time, but as the evening got busier, my order was significantly delayed. By 7:40 PM I still had not received my food, I asked her if she forgot me she said 5mins and at 7:50 PM I requested to cancel my order due to the long wait. I left without receiving my meal. Unfortunately, I was also met with unprofessional comments during the interaction (talking about most Jamaicans always tearing down each other. Mind you I drove out of my way just to go to this location cause I’ve passed it a few times in the past and wanted to give it a try and also I currently have a food business so I know fried dumpling does not take that long) I will not be returning. She also stated that I had to dispute my own order to get a refund. I told her I was not leaving that establishment until I had confirmation that my order was refunded she’s using the glover software which can easily refund and send proof of the refund via text or email!!!! I stopped by the Island Chew Tasty Food truck for some delicious Jamaican cuisine, which was stationed at the Brandon food truck park. I ordered goat curry and jerk chicken, both served with rice, cabbage, and plantains. The owner and chef, who was friendly, managed everything on her own-at that time. The good portions of the two dishes cost under $40. I noticed there weren't any visible prices for the meals, so I had to inquire about them.
