I love Island Empanada so much! It is my favorite fast food place on Long Island! Vegetarian options: Several great choices for vegans: "Nada Beef" empanada and "Veggie" empanada, as well as all sides (plantains, rice & beans, and tostones) are all vegan! The food is very authentic, I recommend calling in ahead of time. The sofrito balls are fantastic. Their empanada list is very good as well. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Empanadas & Rice and Beans

I've gone to the one in Medford a million times and it has always been great. Everyone with me said this one didn't seem the same. Not only that but there was a long hair in one of my empanadas which stopped everyone. Service was nice and quick but that was just absolutely disgusting, sorry but that completely ruins it.
