This restaurant has such a rich history with Oyama san being the third generation to continue the shop. He serves his well-known Fukagawa meshi which is comforting and so delicious (clams on rice). They really make you feel at home. Monzen Nakacho is a city that had a lot of canals which was used to shop things from all over Japan in the Edo period. And the first sumo tournament was held in Monzen Nakacho in 1684. So you see a lot of sumo influence in the area as well, maybe some hand print "autographs" in local shops!
