Brilliant little local place run by Oji-san on his own. We ordered the yaki-soba and yaki-udon. Oji-san came over to cook both for us, and it was just incredible. Can't wait to come back whenever we are around Narita.

I had a wonderful meal at Issunboh in Narita—a true hidden gem. It’s a small, unassuming spot with limited seating, but don’t be put off by the “hole-in-the-wall” appearance. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, and the experience is absolutely worth it. I tried the O-Konami-yaki, which the owner personally recommended, and it was delicious—comforting, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable, especially compared to the nearby hotel restaurants. The place is run by one kind, elderly gentleman, so be prepared to wait a little if it’s busy. It’s also cash only, so plan ahead. But trust me, the food and the experience make it more than worthwhile. If you’re in Narita and looking for something genuine and satisfying, Issunboh is well worth a visit.
