The food was mediocre but not as described on the menu — tuna salad was supposed to be with „lime dressing & yoghurt“ but was blunt. Pizza was ok, the „Chili con Carne Pizza“ however not tasty, according to my friend. Worst of all the service: we waited long time to get our plates taken, no one asked if we liked the food or wanted another drink. We got asked four times if we pay cash or card. Generally I do not mind this and rarely leave any reviews but neither the quality of the food nor the service matches the interior or prices of this place. For anyone who enjoys simple fast food it’s fine, but definitely no enjoyable Italian cuisine. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €15–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

This place definitely deserves a 5-star review! I ordered a hamburger with fries, garlic sauce, and a Sprite. Everything tasted fresh and was really satisfying. The atmosphere was great. The smell of the food coming from the kitchen was amazing, and the Italian music playing in the background gave the place a nice, authentic vibe. The burger was delicious, the fries were crispy, and the service was friendly and attentive. After we finished our meal, they brought us a small complimentary dessert, which was a nice surprise and tasted great. Paying was easy, whether by cash or card. I also appreciated that the staff never made us feel like they were expecting a tip–they were simply welcoming and professional. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The staff was kind, the food and drinks were excellent, and the portions were generous. If you're in Rethymno and looking for a great place to eat, I highly recommend Italian Corner!
