First, they were super friendly and helpful, that says a lot. The Italian sub was ok. The meats were fine, and the seasoning was good. My issue was the roll, I was hoping for a crusty type of roll, hopefully with sesame seeds. Their roll was very soft, just a regional difference. The pastries were good, not great. HEADS UP YORKTOWN PEOPLE ... I went into Italian Delights Bakery & Deli this week for the first time & ordered an Italian Grinder & half an Italian sub, took it home & after I inhaled the grinder & called Chef Beard back to tell her that she 'was GOING TO NEED A BIGGER BOAT !!!!!' They have been open just under a year & they just blew my socks off. This is one of the best kept secrets in York County ... or the Peninsula .. or James City/County .. & they would rank way up there in Virginia Beach too. They are easy to find... think Walmart on Rt. 17 .. look to the right at the 2 strip malls beside behind the Collision Center .... They also bake lots of Italian desserts. I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINT !!! PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
