You HAVE to come here ! The food is delicious. The vegetarian options are great and it's just a nice variation of things from the typical 5 Uruguayan dishes you see everywhere. The owner is lovely and really caring. His sister apparently cooks in the evening but we did not get to go. Midday is "menu del dia" with some side things you can order (pasteries, tartes, empanadas, etc.) and evening is A La Carte. I loved it Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you haven't experienced the art of preparing and presenting superb dining by Chef Alfredo, you are missing out. He has proven to be superior with all entrees and desserts that melt in your mouth. Try his lasagna with spinach or the tortilla with pork... and you will return for more. The Moussaka he prepares is par none. Every single dessert is divine...order a few to delight your taste buds. Ithaka is so delicious I could eat there every night of the week. In Maldonado, Uruguay it is #1 for many people... locals and tourists alike!
