Nestled in the heart of Kabemachi, Itsuchan invites locals and travelers alike to enjoy a dining experience reminiscent of a traditional Showa-era izakaya. This cozy Japanese restaurant specializes in yakitori and offers a variety of other delectable Japanese dishes such as grilled buri kama and pickled vegetables. Although surrounded by the rich history of Oume, the interior maintains a welcoming atmosphere enhanced by personal service attributed to the dedication of the staff.
Itsuchan’s offerings are well-suited for those dining alone, boasting a menu that pairs beautifully with selections of Japanese beer and sake. The restaurant operates from Wednesday to Sunday, between 4 PM and 10 PM, allowing visitors ample time to enjoy leisurely dinners without the rush. However, potential diners should plan accordingly, as Itsuchan currently only accepts cash payments.
A point of caution for some might be the lack of wheelchair accessibility both at the entrance and within the seating area. It is also worth noting that online feedback is limited and somewhat dated, with the most recent reviews being more than two years old. Despite this, those who've experienced Itsuchan's culinary offerings have fond memories and recommend it for the quality of its food and enduring hospitality.

If you’re traveling around western Tokyo to Takao-san or Okutama, you can stop by to this traditional Showa-era-style izakaya and get the best yakitori around. You can also have few beers or local sake and continue your trip with good spirits! Highly recommend. Eat,drink, travel
