The food was good and the staff was nice. However it was unbelievable slow to get my order taken, and to get my food. The check that came at lightning speed. If it was very busy I might not have thought much of the slow service. However a Monday with not a lot of dinners should not have caused painfully slow service. I was a solo diner who eats pretty quickly. I was at the restaurant for close to 2 hours. Usually when I am at a restaurant solo I don't spend more than an hour. Also the music in the restaurant was ridiculously loud. If it was any louder I would have thought I was in a club that was playing mariachi music! We made a last minute decision to go out to dinner on Saturday and we were happy to get a booth right away at Ixtapa. Serving your reliable favorites in a relaxed atmosphere, there's not much not to like. Food was fresh, and service was amazing, we had places to go and managed a quick dinner without feeling rushed. They have seating for larger groups which makes is a good option for events or large families.
