Enjoy a drink at Iyoshi Cola
Iyoshi Cola, nestled on the street of Jingu-mae in Tokyo, offers a unique setting for those intrigued by unconventional drink pairings. This pub and bar is not widely featured on major restaurant directories, save for a non-detailed presence on Foursquare, making it somewhat of a hidden gem for locals and visitors alike.

Open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Iyoshi Cola provides an affordable beverage experience, infusing creativity into traditional cola offerings. The establishment has been noted for its unique service style, like mixing cola with milk, which may appeal to adventurous palates. However, details about the overall menu and atmosphere remain sparse, as the most recent visitor commentary dates back four years, indicating limited contemporary feedback or updates from the owners.

While Iyoshi Cola maintains straightforward and consistent operating hours throughout the week, potential patrons should be aware that the lack of current information might require some exploration and discovery upon visiting. For those eager to explore less conventional refreshments at budget-friendly prices, Iyoshi Cola might just be worth a visit.

Iyoshi Cola is a tiny craft cola shop with a constant crowd outside, people lining up to try what’s probably one of the most unique drinks in the city. The shop specializes in handcrafted spice-based cola with three main options: the original “Dreamy” flavor, the spicier Japan Edition, and the creamy Milkola. We went in the afternoon and it was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly and the staff kept everything organized. I ordered the Japan Edition. The Japan Edition had a much stronger spice profile with herbal and citrus notes that almost tasted medicinal in a good way, Neither tastes anything like standard cola. One of the coolest parts is watching the drinks being prepared right in front of you. They mix the syrup fresh, add carbonated water, lemon, spices, and serve it in their signature sealed bag packaging, which honestly makes the whole experience feel even more unique. The shop itself is small but has a really nice atmosphere. The walls are lined with herbs and spices, and the entire place leans heavily into the handcrafted apothecary-style aesthetic. Seating is limited, so most people either stand outside or take their drinks to go. There’s also a vending machine outside selling canned versions of the cola if you don’t want to wait in line. The fresh version is definitely the better experience, but the canned one is still worth trying if you don't want to wait in line and just want to taste the cola. I didn't go into the shop, just got a can from their vending machine outside! I recognised them as my friend had sent me a short reel featuring them and their cola. It was pretty nice on such a hot day! Don't expect to taste your usual cola! You can definitely taste the herbs (in a good way) and there's a spice-y kick to it Food: 5 Recommended dishes: Iyoshi Cola

This was an impromptu visit after running out of things to do in Tokyo on a rainy day. Iyoshi Cola offers a really cool and unique concept that stands out from your typical soft drink experience. The drinks themselves are genuinely refreshing, crisp, balanced, and more complex than a standard cola, with a depth of flavour that makes it feel handcrafted rather than mass-produced. Overall, it’s a fun and memorable stop, especially if you’re curious to try something different. A simple but elevated refreshment experience that fits perfectly into a day of exploring.
