John the manager had an attitude along with passive aggressive comments when I sent the salmon back (it was farmed and didn’t feel right eating) I ate the smallest bite and our server informed us it would be taken off when she took it back.. the manager came over and had a problem with the fact that we didn’t like it and didn’t mention it would be take off or not..I just assumed (usual restaurant etiquette) when I asked for it to be take off upon seeing the bill he refused to take it off without giving any reason. I didn’t take no for an answer. I went inside (he was standing next to our server) she denied saying she would take it off the bill. I think maybe she’s scared to lose her job. How sad that he puts fear in people and they treat guests like crap because of it. Then when he brought the bill he added 20% gratuity I usually tip over that but I was so disappointed with the service and that he added the tip amount without my permission I had him take that off too Horrible horrible way to treat people Get over yourself John I would like the owner to contact me - please reach out Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If fresh is your flavor, visit Izakaya Meiji Co.!When your order is ready, it’s on your table! We always enjoy the locally sourced Rockfish. The cocktails are wonderful. Since I always go with my family, we order a variety of plates. We visit Izakaya’s when the Slice has live music or karaoke and sit outside. Last night (Saturday) there was about an hour wait for Izakaya’s so we waited at the Slice and listened to a band that played in the style of the Grateful Dead. This dining experience at Izakaya’s is magical - and a great way to experience the vibrancy of the Whit with upscale food.
