Izumi is NO JOKE!! If you want an authentic Japanese food experience, this gets really really close. I've been living in Japan for 3 years and came back to visit my family on the Eastside. A connoisseur friend of mine suggested this place when I asked for a legit sushi restaurant since my brother requested sushi for his birthday and I didn't want to go somewhere that would be a let down. Everything on the menu is extremely similar to what I can find in Japan, especially things like Curry Udon, Tonkatsu, Sukiyaki, Agedashi Tofu, Sashimi and (Nigiri) Sushi. Our main server's mannerisms, kindness, and attentiveness in serving was also very similar to what I experience in Japan. The food was fantastic, truly high quality, and very similar to the tastes of real Japan. As recommended to me, I waited outside 10 minutes before dinner time open (around 4:50 pm on a Thursday) and there was already a line. I think Izumi is wonderful and worth every dollar!!!
