So I went there a week or 2 ago and tried to get a meal and they ran out of virtually all of their sides except the ones I didn't like lol so I couldn't get my meal. I came back today and they had all their sides and I ordered the oxtail with Mac and cheese and cabbage. They let me try the mac and cheese first before I ordered it, it was very good. This was a delicious meal, the oxtail was a 8/10 the whole plate together was a 9/10 I was very happy with the size. Most times I go places and order oxtail my plate is light this felt like it was going to be filling and it absolutely was. I would definitely recommend this place. I did hear they won't be at the current location in the Food Hall on Washington in the Loop much longer though so get there while you can. Food: 5 Service: 5

I truly enjoy the food at this establishment; however, I have consistently experienced concerns regarding customer service. In particular, there has been an ongoing issue with one employee whose demeanor appears uninterested and, at times, visibly frustrated when I approach to place an order or ask questions. On one occasion, I attempted to order the blackened catfish. When the cashier asked this employee whether it was available, he appeared annoyed and disengaged, which made me feel uncomfortable and ultimately led me to leave without placing my order. A few days later, I returned and ordered the Rasta pasta. During that visit, the same employee instructed the cashier to prepare the dish in a manner that seemed abrupt and forced. That being said, I was pleased with the quality of the Rasta pasta, as it was very delicious. I am sharing this feedback because he could be doing it to other people. Food: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We tried J Spice for the first time today and wow, we are already planning our next visit. The jerk chicken was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and had the ideal spice level without overpowering the flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the greens were cooked just right. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality and makes it absolutely worth it. We couldn’t stop eating; it was that good. And the friendly guys at the counter made the whole experience even better. We can’t wait to go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
