What a terrible experience. My wife and I stopped there for lunch, as we often do, with our two young sons who had just eaten at a fast food restaurant and were finishing their drinks. While we sat at the outdoor table at Cote Sud waiting for our food, the waitress asked our sons to leave the table with their drinks as ''this was not allowed''. We told her that this made no sense and so she went to get the manager. The latter actually brought us our food in a take-out bag and asked us to not sit at the table if my sons held their drinks. When we asked what harm was being done, she could only answer ''that's our policy''. We were incredulous but she insisted and so we asked to be reimbursed and left. The manager actually preferred to waste just-prepared food and lose good customers forever rather than have my sons finish their drinks at the table. What a dumb, short-sighted decision. After a very difficult Covid year for restaurants you would think that retaining customers would be important to them. Clearly Cote Sud does not understand this concept.
