First, let me geek out on the super-cool patio structure at Jasper's Backyard. It's tall, made of huge steel beams and a solid translucent roof - we were there on a windy, rainy Saturday afternoon, and never had a second thought about needing to run inside. This ain't no circus tent. Add to the great cover the fact that you didn't forget you were outdoors, but it was still private from the street and other surroundings. Now to the restaurant- wehad the asparagus and the brussel sprouts appetizers, and I wish all veggies tasted so good. To counter the vegetables, we had the extremely meaty Backyard Burger and the Brisket Cheesesteak, both done to perfection. And pay the extra two bucks for the sweet potato fries- so freaking good. Bonus - we went there with a 70 pound Boxer (our dog, not some Rocky wanna-be) and the staff brought out a bowl with ice-water for him. Yup - the staff is great too. It's a bit of a drive for us, and I know it's a cliche- but it's well worth the drive. And we will be back!
