WOOOOW! I ordered food from here today and mannn was I totally, deliciously, delighted. The man at the counter not only explained the menu but broke each menu down. He also told me about the homemade drinks in the cooler. Now if this isn't excellent customer service, I don't know what is! Anyhow, I ordered the oxtail plate with candied yams and fried cabbage, cornbread and a bottle of watermelon lemonade. When I tell you I pret near ate the darn fork , it would not be a lie. This food was so delicious, that I had to stop eating to breathe . It came out hot. That darn food was the prettiest looking food with great presentation that I've ever seen. When my order was ready, i opened he containers and the aroma smelled so good that i had to close my eyes. Lol. The favors were seasoned to my perfection without being too salty, too sweet, or too smoky. The oxtail were tender and soo good! The cabbage were the right texture , the cornbread was thick, and the candied yams were yamming ! I will most definitely be a returning customer and shouting out to all I know about this hidden gem in our great city of Garland. JDs Food Box, y'all outdid y'all self on this one. My girlfriend and I got the garlic noodles , Philly eggs rolls, soul food turkey leg, peach cobbler egg rolls, and the strawberry and cucumber jls drink. Everything was better than I imagined. The noodles are better than any place I’ve had them. Mac and cheese was to die for. Turkey and veggies were perfect. Philly eggs rolls best I’ve ever had You must try this place too Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried today - service was very attentive, gave us a full rundown of the menu, and answered all of our questions. The food … holy cow. I had oxtails, which had been smoked then braised and tasted great. My spouse had the fried catfish, which, no lie, was probably the best catfish I’ve ever had. Sides were great, especially the Mac & Cheese. My wife isn’t usually a fan, but liked these. Dessert was sweet potato egg rolls - delicious. We will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Red Beans, Southern Catfish Basket, Twisted Blueberry, Corn Bread Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot
