JRC Global Buffet in Watford is a great place to visit for a unique dining experience. The atmosphere is pleasant and the music is calm, and the seating and display of food is quite good. The tepanyaki station was especially impressive and the sushi and dessert sections were also enjoyable. The starters were good and the main courses were alright, although some dishes could have been fresher. Unfortunately, there is a time limit to stay which can make it feel a bit rushed, and the plastic fruit baskets near the entrance were not as full as they used to be. Despite this, the Teppanyaki station provides great value, and the staff are friendly and helpful. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some changes such as having to pay for drinks and not being able to serve yourself, but the protocols are reasonable. The food selection is still good and the Teppanyaki station is still open. It is a great place to go for a birthday meal as you can get a free meal if you book in advance. Overall, JRC Global Buffet is worth visiting for a unique and enjoyable experience.

After well over a decade and possibly 15 years I found myself in Watford. The main reason for my visit was a month ago saw a TV show about the worlds biggest buffet and since then a trip to JRC Global Buffet was on my list. I arrived and asked the friendly receptionist about the menu choices. She politely explained limited choices at lunchtime but I could have a look, I went and looked and on a wet Tuesday in Watford heard my name called out, it was a former colleague at lunch with her family. Her family had also seen the TV program and decided to give it a try. Only 40% of the counters operate at lunchtime. I returned to the welcome desk and paid for the buffet lunch at 11 British Pounds. So much choice I couldn't even try every dish and the dessert counter is limited at lunchtime. The extensive selection of starters all looked deep fried so not ideal from a cardiac perspective, the worst tasting dish was the malai chicken because the smokiness of the tandoor didn't come through. The most flavorsome dish was the lamb rogan josh but it was cold even at 12.15 when the buffet opens at 12.00. I couldn't even get through all the lunchtime menu items but would love to try dinner at least once, though at 25 British Pounds it is a lot unless one is a big eater and not worried about the risks of oily noodles, deep fried starters and sugar laden desserts.
