Tried Jacks Restaurant based on a local food critic review. Not sure what I expec Visited Jack's Restaurant after reading a local critic's review. Upon arrival, the restaurant was empty, and there was no host or server present. After a 10-minute wait, a server finally greeted us, apologized for the wait and explained that the delay was due to a health inspector conducting an inspection. I noticed that the tables were very sticky, making it difficult to remove the menus. The server explained that the stickiness was due to an issue with the table's top coat but assured us the tables were clean. After bringing our drinks she began a very unprofessional, concerning conversation about taking the BASSET Certification for her colleagues if they were unable to pass themselves, we asked if we could just order. 15 minutes later our server comes to tell us the chef has disappeared but was having an alternate chef prepare our food and again, apologized for the wait. Our food arrived, I ordered a gyro I asked for the missing tzatziki and was told the chef was remaking it due to it being too sour. Our server left and returned to advise they were out of sour cream and the tzatziki could not be made and asked if I’d like any other options, such as ranch. I declined, waited for my friend to finish his meal, asked for a box, paid and left. Based on all of the positive reviews I was expecting an overall better experience. Very disappointed.
