I LOVE this spot. I will say up front- this isn’t the place to go for speedy service BUT if you have the time, it’s worth it. The book selection, art and ceramics are lovely. The ambiance is too. Drinks can be a little underwhelming for the price (every hot drink I’ve gotten was lukewarm and I’m a piping hot type). Highly recommend the pistachio butter toast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Hi Chy! Thanks for the review. A quick note to say that while we serve our espresso drinks at the recommended barista temps, you absolutely can request your drink extra hot, and we’d be happy to make that adjustment for you so they’re more to your liking.

Jadu is lovely and I haven’t been to the wine portion so can only speak on the cafe. I love the small biz focused artisan crafts on the shelves and the owner is wonderful. I take one star off as I feel that the coffee is okay, while also being more expensive than average. I wish I could do half stars here but the other star is that like some other reviewers said, I haven’t found the staff to be very friendly. The counter is also quite large so when it’s crowded there’s not much room to wait for your drink. It’s a lovely spot to meet an acquaintance or old friend for coffee & they do leave the window seats open for that, but lots of laptop people otherwise tho! I’ll go back again soon to try the hochija and hopefully bump the star up to 4. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent wine, apertif, and mezze bar that stands out on a street full of fine eateries. The small plates are not that small! We had the feta with zatar-coated pita, mortardella sando, and roasted cauliflower, all ample and deliciously spiced. Wines are spectacular and waitstaff knowledgeable. The room is acoustically bright so a bit deafening when full - some wall hangings would help. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50
