A very small restaurant with only one server handling both dine-in customers and takeout orders, so they were clearly quite busy. I’d give the freshness of the food 4 stars overall. We ordered the unagi rice bowl, and the eel seemed like the pre-packaged, reheated kind. It had a slight fishy smell. The tempura sauce also had a somewhat unusual seasoning that wasn’t really to our taste. The other sushi and sashimi were decent and acceptable, but nothing particularly outstanding. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there is definitely room for improvement. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$60–70

Japango is a hidden gem for the freshest sushi you can get in the city! I highly recommend the chirashi. I've been coming here for years and it has NEVER disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30
