I was sitting at the bar trying to enjoy a beer when I couldn’t help but overhear the bartender and owner, Dan Oliviera conversing. He made it very clear that he enjoyed David Bowie’s music however he strongly disagreed with Bowie’s wardrobe. He went on about how Bowie shouldn’t have crossed dressed and how it was gay in a negative tone. Also just a heads up, if you want a cold pint of Guiness, don’t come here (go to the Sham). Because they’ll serve it in a plastic cup or if you’re lucky in a dirty cold glass. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $10–20

I have seen Jasper's go through many little renovations over the years, but they have done some big ones recently and I have to say the place looks just marvelous. Back patio has a heater for those cold nights and speakers set to a lower volume so people can socialize without going deaf. They've cleaned up the inside and taken down the dividing wall which really opens it up. They have even installed a DJ both. They still have one of those electronic jute boxes that costs too much though. All in all, it really is a great bar.
