I love this place! Lately I’ve noticed the doors have been locked and lights off. Is this placing closing? Maybe a Reno? Just wondering if it will open up again. When I went I didn’t see any signage. Price per person: CA$1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Many of us from a local tower used to frequent this coffee shop but due to an incident last year where the staff clearly would not help an individual who had fallen, we chose to go to another nearby coffee shop for our morning coffee gathering. However, this morning two of us decided to give it another try. We sat in an empty coffee shop(10am) for some time drinking our coffee and then slowly a few patrons arrived. We were almost done when a little old lady strolled up to me and asked if I could call her a taxi. I googled the number but then went blank when it came to the business name or address. I asked the staff member if he could call a taxi for the elderly lady and he said “we don’t use our minutes for that”. I responded, that’s why you don’t have customers because you don’t help people. I feel it’s sad when a community coffee shop is so disconnected from a community like this. It will be a long time before myself or people I know frequent this shop again! Oh, It used to be a fantastic place but the new owners have zero consideration for the community or local patrons. Service: 1

It's kind of puzzling that you would decide to return to a business you've chosen to boycott over year ago only to complain again... we genuinely have no idea about this incident that you've mentioned of involving a person falling over, if such a thing happened here we would've definitely helped them out. Except it never happened so this is news to us. It's a little ironic to be lectured about being disconnected from the community when you don't even know what our shop's name is despite living in a local tower. And to save minutes? That's a little weird... We may be an old cafe but we're not that outdated. We're also unsure what your definition of "empty" is, when there were multiple other tables occupied in our shop during your stay. We don't dictate where people spend their mornings, if you were so unhappy with us for a whole year why not stick with the shops that actually satisfy you rather than coming back to fish for something new to complain about. It'll save everyone the frustration.
