Java Kai has a couple of locations across Kauai, and we visited the Kapaʻa location. The coffee was very good. We didn't try any of the food, but it looked popular and the café was quite busy. The staff was friendly, and there was convenient street parking nearby. Definitely a solid stop if you're looking for a good cup of coffee on the island. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We've been going to Java Kai for years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots on Kauaʻi. Whether you're looking for a smoothie, fresh juice, coffee, breakfast sandwich, or just a place to relax for a bit, they always do a great job. Today I tried their online ordering system for the first time while passing through Kapaʻa on my way home. The process was incredibly easy, fast, and convenient. My order was ready when I arrived, and the team took care of me right away. What really stood out was a small act of great customer service. As I was picking up my smoothie and getting ready to leave, an employee noticed it didn't have whipped cream. He asked if I had ordered it, checked my order to confirm, and then happily added it for me. It was such a simple thing, but it showed that he genuinely cared about making sure I got exactly what I ordered and had the best experience possible. The entire team at Java Kai consistently does an excellent job. It's a great place to bring family, friends, and visiting guests, and it's also perfect when you just need to grab something quick on the go. Highly recommended. The Rainbow Bourbon (a light roast coffee) was outstanding! This is one of the few places offering a light roast coffee. I highly recommend Java Kai Kapaa! The Lilikoi Haze smoothy was also delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10
