We used this cafe after a long walk with the dog we were looking after. We both had sandwiches which were excellent and what we saw of the cooked meals did not disappoint. The services is very good and the atmosphere relaxing. There is a large cross-section of people using the cafe, from well dressed day trippers to hikers, like ourselves, so no one needs to feel out of place. Dogs are very welcome inside although it is nicer to sit outside if the weather is good. Today is my husbands 84th birthday. We are both pensioners with very little income. Just going for a coffee was a big deal for us. One of the girls was busy serving while another sauntered by us behind the counter at least 4 times not making eye contact. I was stood there with my card in my hand obviously ready to order. After several minutes the 'sauntering' girl said 'well are you ready to order', I said yes and had been for several minutes. I told her she had to brush up on her customer service skills, not too sure if she understood me as she sounded as if she was Eastern Europenan.
Yes we are not big spenders, but just wanted to have a nice experience WHICH WE DID NOT
Don't even go there - unless you don't mind being ignored and treated like dirt.
We noticed a few minutes after we sat down she was all over a couple who came in with a great big brown dog were obviously regulars. We felt that not being regulars we did not get a decent service - or any service at all!!
