Jerome Chocolat is an incredibly charming spot in the heart of Bari. The café has a wonderful atmosphere – beautifully decorated, with desserts and chocolate treats that both look and taste amazing. Every detail feels well thought out, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy something sweet. Unfortunately, the only downside was the service. One of the waitresses was rather unfriendly and a bit rude, which spoiled the otherwise great experience. We visited just before 1 PM, when the staff were already preparing for the siesta. We only asked for a single scoop of ice cream to take away for our youngest daughter, as we had promised her one – she even burst into tears when we were refused. Still, no one was willing to make an exception, even for such a small request. That lack of empathy was disappointing. It’s a beautiful café that we would gladly return to later in the day, but this incident unfortunately left a bit of a bitter aftertaste.
