Hot dog was great, beef sandwich was a little chewy, grilled chicken sandwich was nothing special, store was very busy but staff was friendly and patient. I'd go back for the hot dog only.

The food is good, definitely everything is shipped from directly form Chicago. I like the Polish grilled onions with cheese. Pork chops center cut well done, with a strawberry pop. lol that’s the original Chicago way. Give them a chance they just opened up. The owner and his wife and his girls are very nice. They came by they greeted us when we was there. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lived in McKinley Park, 3.5mi from the Jim's on Union and somehow got lucky enough to have this one open up even closer to me now that I live here. Everyone in line was basically talking to each other asking where in Chicago they used to live or grew up haha. Came as soon as I could make it during their soft opening and wanted to write a review to help people's expectations (especially socal natives) and hopefully help the restaurant improve. 1.) All the main menus items still come with fries included in the price. This isn't advertised anywhere so I wasn't sure if they'd keep this from the Chicago location 2.) I could've used MORE onions and mustard on my polish. I hope it was just a consistency issue and not them catering to non onion loving individuals :p there still is a massive pile of cooked onions on the griddle so that's not the issue. 3.) lots of new menu items....not sure how I feel about most of them. Decided to try the onion rings but they were meh, pretty anemic amount of onion and the batter was pretty blah 4.) I think they're still dialing in the pricing. A photo from yesterday shows 9.50 for the polish but today it was 8.50. $8.50 for a polish (plus the included fries) is about right in today's pricing but 12.75 for a fish sandwich is crazy. 5.) They have a beef. They were sold out by the time I arrived a 2pm and everyone in line was there to try it. If they knock it out of the park with this one for $11 then I will be telling all my friends about this place. TBD.... Price per person: $10–20
