On our visit to Penang, this spot came highly recommended by food-loving locals; and it more than lived up to the praise. In fact, we loved it so much, we made sure to return one last time before leaving. Years on, we still find ourselves dreaming about that dish. The duck is well worth the wait: irresistibly juicy with each bite, its skin crisp and lacquered with delicate notes of honeyed star anise, while the flesh remains tender and succulent. Paired with perfectly fluffy rice that soaks up every last drop of flavour, it’s a dish that lingers long after the meal is over. There’s a reason this place has earned its Michelin star; and it’s evident in every bite. Price per person: RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Highly recommend the roasted duck rice, the duck was tender and flavorful, with juicy skin that paired perfectly with the fragrant rice. The rice itself was soft and fluffy, making every bite incredibly satisfying. We also ordered the wonton soup, which was light, comforting, and perfectly seasoned simple but done exceptionally well. To finish, the crab siu mai was surprisingly good, packed with real crab meat and full of flavor in every bite. Definitely worth trying! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am not sure the old uncle still manage this shop as the name is same. Overall, the food were decent. However, if compared with the old shop, the old shop's duck still taste better, juicer. The chai boey portion was big at rm6. Price per person: RM 40–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Roasted Duck Rice
