Walking near Ikejiri Inari Shrine, visit this restaurant. John is recommended for the gracious staff. The nice service is something these restaurateurs care about. You will definitely appreciate the lovely atmosphere. Google gives it 4.2 so you can select this place to spend a good time here.

Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It’s amazing the subtlety that the fresh flavors combine. Isn’t easy to make it unforgettable with food but with desserts by the necessity to be perfect it’s even more. Would say an hidden gem. Wish I had the opportunity to try every season new Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a spectacular experience at John in Ikejiri. We had the July course which featured mangoes (specifically Miyazaki mangoes). The interior ambiance is incredible and features only 4 tables with two people at each table. There is a full explanation of the organization of the restaurant and materials used to craft the space on the back of the menu. Each dessert is carefully created to be perfect in appearance and plated in front of you (or nearly in front of you) in the open kitchen. Beyond the aesthetic, every dish was delicious and I found myself trying to scrape every last crumb off the unique plates and serving dishes used. Many dishes included both familiar and unfamiliar pairings of fruit and other ingredients in savory and sweet combinations. The nonalcoholic drinks pairing was also very good. The volume of each beverage was perfectly measured to ensure it was not overpowering or too heavy. Each drink complemented the dish it was paired with to elevate the experience! Even though most of the staff does not speak English (which we did not expect them to), we felt very welcomed and happy to be in the restaurant. With each course, an iPad with explanations in English was placed on our table and the staff answered any questions we had to the best of their ability. We could not have asked for a better experience! Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
