This place served up some seriously tasty food! Ambiance is unassuming but the food was sneakily elevated. First visit today and had the harvest salad. Everything was roasted and seasoned perfectly. There was not a single ingredient in that salad that was not delicious or that I would have substituted. Great job to whomever created that dish. Back when I lived in Roscoe Village/The City, John's Place was my favorite place to grab a delicious meal. I see they've added to the menu but still have my favorite dish (the Peanut Chicken Bowl... I'm drooling just thinking about it and I probably haven't had it in 9 years!!! I must rectify that stat!!! The Cowboy Burger is also pretty good. I nearly forgot about their Cheese Curds Too!!!
