Nothing bad here!!! My husband got the T-Bone steak, I have the wilt salad, we also had the tomatillo- avocado dip with chips. I was in hog heaven! The steak that I had a bite of was so tender and juicy, the wilt was a strong lemon garlic flavor with green olives!!! Soooo good highly recommend. If you love a green salsa then definitely order the dip. Can't wait to come to San Antonio and eat here again. Sorry I don't have pics but it wouldn't do the flavor justice
I wasn't impressed with this place.   Small portions and over priced.  I got the country fried chicken and mashed potatoes.   Chicken was juicy but small.   The mashed potatoes had a funny taste to them and the gravy was sweet.  I don't now about YALL but us southern boys like our mashed and gravy creamy and buttery.    Like I said small portion so we ended up at Texas steak house aka Whataburger
We stopped in at this San Antonio landmark on a Saturday evening before a concert downtown. Located conveniently off of the highway, the restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived at 6:30PM, but we were seated quickly after grabbing a beer at the bar. For those who have never visited, it's a pretty cool historic building with a tree in the middle of it. The floors aren't flat, which adds to the character of this historic location. The menu has quite a bit of variety, and we started with some chicken wings as an appetizer. We settled on chicken fried steak and liver and onions for our entrees, the latter of which isn't readily available at most places. Both dishes were prepared well, served hot, and tasted great. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs, keeping our drinks filled and table uncluttered. We were in and out in about an hour, where we enjoyed our meal at a leisurely pace. All in all it was a great dinner experience. For a meal in a unique old structure that's conveniently located to central San Antonio definitely drop in to Josephine Street.
