Juban (十番) is a restaurant that specializes in ramen noodles and gyoza and other Japanified "Chinese" dishes. I've been coming here for decades since I was a kid whenever I visit my relatives in the Higashi Nakano area. This store has been in the area for easily over 50 years if I'm not mistaken as my dad and all his family/relatives say they've been coming here when my dad was in college, and he's no spring chicken.And as one would expect of a restaurant that's been in town that long, this place serves up some great food. My personal favorites are the gyoza (which may actually be the best I've had), Tan-men, and yakisoba. All are standards at most Chinese (Chuka-ryori) restaurants, but this place serves up some great food, if the line that one can find outside isn't already an indication.Because of it's long standing history of good food in the neighborhood, there's a good chance you may have to wait for an open seat since this place does get crowded and isn't a large space.
