Extremely unfriendly to foreigners. I was queued at a cafe, but I was skipped. When I wanted to buy souvenirs at the store, I politely asked, and they even translated it into Japanese, but I just said I couldn't understand it, and that was it. Quite disappointing.

If you love Japan's version of Baumkuchen you can’t miss Juchheim’s main store located in Kobe’s Motomachi shopping street. As the brand that first introduced Baumkuchen to Japan, Juchheim’s offers a delightful variety of baked goods, including pound cakes and seasonal specialties. One highlight here is the Apple Baumkuchen, a limited-edition item available only at the main store. It’s a perfect choice for those looking for something exclusive and memorable to take home. We also appreciated the calm and comfortable shopping experience. The staff gave each customer plenty of space and time to browse the selection, which made our visit even more enjoyable. There’s also a second-floor café where visitors can relax and enjoy Juchheim’s sweets in a cozy setting. Unfortunately, it was already closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on our list for next time.
