If you grew up on Griff's Hamburgers like I did, then you already know Griff's should never, ever be mentioned in the same sentence as McDonald's, Burger King (and yes, I still love me some BK), Whataburger, Wendy's or any other fast food burger chain. Griff's isn't in that class. Griff's is the icon. The #GOAT of burgers in the Shreveport Bossier area. For more than 50 years, they've been sitting on that corner of Old Minden Road and Northgate serving what can only be described as the scientifically perfect amount of grease. One more drop and the burger becomes a biological weapon that immediately settles at the bottom of the trash bag. One less drop and it's drier than Death Valley at high noon in August. They somehow found the exact sweet spot and parked there for half a century. And those fries have been consistently the bomb since the Teddy Roosevelt administration, but this review is about the meats. Meanwhile, every other fast food burger chain is basically Brendan Fraser's character from The Whale trying to catch Usain Bolt in the 110 meter hurdles. If you haven't seen that movie I highly recommend it, just make sure you have several boxes of Kleenex tissues, it's a tear jerker. It's not even the same competition. A lot of us grew up with Griff's. We grew up with the same manager who seemed to have worked there since the invention of fire. We grew up grabbing burgers after school, after games, after work, or just because somebody had five bucks and a dream. Then life happened. People moved away. Careers happened. Families happened. We scattered across the country chasing greener pastures and lower insurance rates. But if you happened to land in Longview or anywhere around East Texas, you lucked out. Because Jucy's Hamburgers scratches an itch that very few places can. Now before anybody that lived off of that poor stretch of Airline Drive loses their mind, no, Jucy's isn't Griff's. Nothing ever will be. Griff's carries decades of memories for me. Some of the only genuinely great memories from my childhood came wrapped in wax paper with a side of fries. That's an unfair advantage no restaurant can overcome. But when nostalgia isn't on the menu and you're just looking for a damn good burger, Jucys Hamburgers delivers. The burgers aren't too greasy. They're not too dry. They're Goldilocks zone approved. Just right. The portions are solid, the prices make sense, and every visit reminds me of those old Hungry Man meals from Griff's that now feel more like folklore than documented history. You know the rest of the review clichés. Friendly staff. Good food. Worth the money. Insert standard Google review fluff here. But at the end of the day, that's not really what this review is about. I love Griff's because it reminds me of my past. I love Jucy's because it's become part of my future. And since Longview is a whole lot closer these days, that's a trade I'm willing to make. Made an online Pickup Order for breakfast, They had me wait another 20 minutes on top of the original wait time. The veggie scramble was 95% veggies, barely any egg. Brunch potatoes were soggy. Too expensive for what I got Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Best burger hands down, friendly atmosphere and all around good eats. You half to try the fried pickles with jalapeno ranch and their beans. The grilled chicken is also very tasty. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
