My partner and I went to Juno bakery to order a drink and a few pastries. After ordering we my partner asked for me to get them a cup of water. I went up to cashiers to ask a cup of water i was told that they only sold water bottles. I go over to purchase a water bottle and as im going to pay a white couple goes up with their order and also asked for a cup a water. I ask do you guys have cups of water or not. Im then told that cups of water are only for customers. Granted me and my partner had already purchased drinks and pastries at the establishment. So we are more than a customer at this point. I then proceed to say, i am a customer and the employee rolls her eyes looks to her coworker for confirmation and then aggressively hands me a cup of water in annoyance. Even the white couple in front of us, we're in a state of shock as much as I was because why did she assume that I wasn't the customer? Even though she had already seen me purchase items. I believe, that the reason was because I was a black person in the establishment and Juno bakery has been known in the black community in Frederick to only hire white people or lighter skin people or non-black people. And to treat black people with less respect then non black customers. This is something that needs to be handled immediately. Cause that is unacceptable. Especially in the year of 2026. I did not get the employee's name but it was a tanned hispanic girl with black hair.Probably height of 5'3 and in my bad service was given to me May 10th Saturday, and that employee was wearing a red hoodie. Hopefully management could look back at the cameras and collect that employee or have her dealt with. Because that is unacceptable especially if you want your establishment to stay open. Overpriced and lacking in customer service. They keep bathrooms locked and are weird about codes. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20
