i went to juno on july 14th with a couple of friends for happy hour. it wasn’t necessarily busy, but my table could see that my server was getting extremely overwhelmed. it took a long time for our pitcher to come out and our food. instead of the manager helping out/back serving our server, he belittled her in front of all her tables. he watched the bar pile up with drinks and did nothing to help. i called him over, and told him he was doing a terrible job as a manager and belittling his staff in front of guest leaves a bad taste in my mouth. all he could say was “thanks”. he left our table and continued to stand behind the bar and watch the drinks pile up. i hope he took my advice to heart and starts treating his staff like human beings. to our server, im so sorry that you have to deal with that. and i hope your job in the fall is a better and healthier work environment. would not come again

After excitedly waiting all winter for their seasonal opening, we made sure to have reservations on their opening day. We are locals who are regulars (and huge advocates) of this lovely happy hour and dinner spot. Sadly, our experience was a huge and utter disappointment. After ordering, I was shocked to find out that they removed one of the best items on their menu – the empanadas. That is a crime in it of itself! Additionally, they ran out of flour tortillas(this was only 1 hour after they opened on OPENING DAY) and the restaurant was no where near full. The portion size was significantly less (about half) of what they used to give. Presentation wise, it was a really sad looking excuse of a taco. In addition, they quietly added an automatic 20% gratuity, something they conveniently failed to mention when they were explaining all of the other “great” enhancements to their menu and service. It feels like they have chosen to prioritize being a trendy, instagram and tik-tik worthy spot with mediocre food for first timers, rather than being a quality restaurant for locals and visitors alike. The service was clumsy, and another couple complained about a hair in their drink before promptly leaving. I am not exaggerating when I say Juno was our favorite taco spot in the city. We have taken many friends and family members over the years here and constantly raved about the food and value. But it is has completely lost its charm as a local gem. We are SO disappointed in the changes that Juno has made, and you can definitely get the same outdoor vibe with much better food and service elsewhere. We will absolutely not be returning. We’re truly sorry to hear how disappointing your OPENING DAY experience felt, especially as longtime supporters of Juno. That makes it sting more, and we don’t take that lightly.Opening day is always a challenging reset for any seasonal restaurant, particularly with a new menu and new team members finding their rhythm. That’s not an excuse, but it does mean there can be gaps we’re actively working to fix quickly. Running out of key ingredients, changes in portion size, and lack of clear communication around gratuity are all valid frustrations, and we should have handled those much better. We also understand how attached guests can be to favorite menu items like the empanadas. Menu changes are never easy, and feedback like yours plays a big role in what we consider bringing back or adjusting.Your comments about service, presentation, and overall value are being taken seriously and shared directly with our team. The goal has never been to lose what made Juno special to locals like you, and it’s clear we missed the mark on your visit. We’d appreciate the chance to give you a much better experience once we’ve had time to smooth things out. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us directly so we can make this right.Thank you for your honest feedback — it matters.
