If you’re early you can avoid a reservation. We’ve tried both yuba and yudofu. Yuba is what we call 腐皮 in Chinese cuisines but making them fresh with good ingredients just change it to a much higher level. Tempura is not oily, and serves as the more “favour” part of the meal The grill tofu with miso is a must try. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited Nanzenji Junsei (南禅寺順正) and had a very memorable meal. We waited about 35 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The setting is beautiful, with a peaceful garden that makes the whole dining experience very relaxing. The tofu dishes were outstanding , especially the grilled yuba (tofu skin) full of flavor and nicely prepared. Everything tasted fresh, delicate, and comforting. Overall, this was the most delicious tofu meal we’ve ever had Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
