I visited this restaurant yesterday and got to experience the beauty of watching the chef cook right in front of you. It’s an unbelievable experience where you feel as if you’re immersed in a different country entirely. This is something our city has been missing, and it’s unfortunate to see it treated poorly by some, especially when you’d gladly pay the same amount, if not more, for this kind of experience in a country like Japan. The staff were attentive to every single move, every finished dish, and every empty plate. The moment I set something aside, they immediately rushed to clear it. The atmosphere is pleasant and intimate, like being in a private underground club where all the attention is on you. The cherry on top, however, was one of the chefs being Asian. The passion he brings to the art of making sushi is beyond pleasant. He explained why you shouldn’t use sauces or mix flavors, but rather let each piece stand on its own. He proved himself a true professional with genuine passion for his craft, something that is rarely seen so openly in our city. This experience is for those who seek unique moments worth holding onto for a long time and returning to. We absolutely loved the omakase experience. The food impressed us with its freshness and incredible flavor. The owners, who are also the chefs, were very hospitable and made us feel truly welcome. We’re excited to come back (with emptier bellies!) since we didn’t manage to try everything they had to offer :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After 2 weeks of eating meat centric food across Serbia, Romania and Moldova, my wife and I took a break to see what Moldova had to offer for a Japanese omakase experience. Coming from NYC, we've had our fair share of Japanese food as well as omakase. Kamii did not disappoint. The food and service was great. We enjoyed a variety of cooked and raw courses. The conversation we had with the owners/chefs made the experience even better. I especially love that they are introducing japanese cuisine to Chisinau. I'd recommend anyone to go give them a visit.
