The food was premium priced but many items were all pre prepared and just heat up. The gyoza tasted like it was frozen and was very dry. All the dimsum was not fresh. The century egg was very cold and dry, possibly the worst century egg I’ve had. That being said, the braised tofu was quite nice and the family liked the crab omelette and gomoku fried rice. The smoked duck was well received. Seems like the freshly cooked items were good but the items which were not freshly prepared were very clearly frozen and not good. It was all priced at a premium though. Good enough after a long day skiing but could have been better. Meal type: Dinner Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian set menu and some vegetarian items.

It was a fun place to eat and the duck was excellent. But when I asked for a to go container they refused. If this was a buffet I would understand but I ordered from the menu. I hate wasting good food and the duck was mouth wateringly good. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Peking Duck

I had the set menu along with the Beijing Duck, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the evening even better. Highlights: • Set Menu – A well-balanced selection of classic Chinese dishes, beautifully presented and full of flavor. • Beijing Duck – Crispy skin, tender meat, and served with traditional pancakes and sauce—absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. If you’re at Rusutsu Resort, Kanten is a must-visit! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
