I recently discovered K:Dara Noodle Bar, a gem of a South East Asian restaurant nestled in the heart of Buffalo, right at 110 Pearl Street. It's housed in the historic Dun Building, a spot that's quickly become a favorite for me and my boys, August, Enzo, and Roman. Our first visit to K:Dara was on a whim. We were looking for something different for dinner and stumbled upon this place. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm ambiance and the inviting aroma of Asian spices. The boys' eyes lit up seeing the menu - they've always had a soft spot for Asian cuisine, just like me. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standouts were undoubtedly the Udon and Pho. The Udon had this rich, flavorful broth that was both comforting and invigorating. As for the Pho, it was a delightful mix of savory broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs. It was like a symphony of flavors in every spoonful. But the real winner for my boys was the dumplings. They couldn't get enough of them! Each dumpling was a perfect bite of juicy filling wrapped in a delicate, soft dough. It was a joy watching them argue over who would get the last one - they're usually picky eaters, but not when it comes to K:Dara's dumplings. The staff at K:Dara Noodle Bar, especially Jennifer, the owner/manager, made our experience even more special. She has this way of making everyone feel like they're dining in her own home. And the creative cocktails? They were the cherry on top for me, a perfect blend of aesthetics and flavor. Since that first visit, K:Dara has become our go-to spot for family dinners. It's not just about the food, which is consistently delicious and beautifully served, but also about the warmth and hospitality we experience each time. It's a place where we've created many happy memories, laughing and sharing stories over bowls of Udon and Pho, and, of course, those irresistible dumplings. Kid-friendliness: kids are welcomed and mine love it here. Wheelchair accessibility: not going to make it in if you are in a wheelchair as it is set in the basement.
