Meal: Dinner Day Visited: Saturday Budget: ¥2,500/person Closest Station: Chitosefunabashi Reservation Needed?: Maybe Payment: Cash; E-Payment Kid Friendly?: No English Menu?: No Kirin introduces the Chitosefunabashi neighborhood to smoked meats and cheese and in various delicious forms. Beyond the diverse and unique menu, we were most surprised that after two full years of living in the neighborhood that we had never eaten here before. The platter of five different smoked meats and cheeses was well worth the ¥1,650 price tag. The smoking technique brings out the succulents of the pork. My partner, who typically doesn’t like cheese, couldn’t get enough of the smoked Gouda. The pizza was also wonderfully prepared! Service is very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, if a bit tight. Perhaps our best complement is that we left the restaurant already planning our next visit.
