i choose kookoo almost every month. amazing cuisine and service all the time! just a shame that they no longer have those seaweed rolls anymore. we LOVED them!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Over the past three months, I’ve been to KOOKOO four or five times already, and every time I end up ordering the same dishes—the original fried chicken, seafood pancake, and squid rice—because they’re just so good! Each time before going, I tell myself I’ll try their $20 lunch special instead, which looks so varied, generous, and great value. But somehow, I always go back to my usual favourites. That said, I did switch things up a little this time—the fried chicken was replaced with the snow avalanche flavour, and the spicy squid fried rice was swapped for fish roe fried rice. And yes, they were just as delicious! Thanks to the lovely girl working the six-day shift for recommending we try something different. Looking forward to trying the Korean roasted chicken and green tea tiramisu next time! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Loved the food! Nice service. I ordered the seafood pancake and hot hot boneless fried chicken which came with a side of cabbage salad and I added a side of radish. The seafood pancake was the best I've had in Auckland so far. Orion beer to wash it all down on a work night went down a treat. My friend ordered the tteokbokki, salad and a side of rice. She was impressed with her dinner after initially being apprehensive about the menu. Excellent! Looking forward to returning and trying some more dishes.
