We’ve been to Koyo twice for their weekday specials. Thursday night was much better than Wednesday night. The food is good, especially the skewers, pork belly, gyoza and fried rice. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The only thing that could be improved is the timing of the dishes. On our last visit, our mains came out almost at the same time as the entrée, which made the table feel crowded as it’s quite small. The fried rice arrived later, so we weren’t able to enjoy everything together straight away. Our steak and fries also came out with the fries cold and soft. The staff were happy to replace them, but it looked like the same fries had just been reheated and put back on the plate. Overall, it’s a good place with tasty food, but I think better communication between the kitchen and the floor staff would make the dining experience even better.
