The worst restaurant experience we’ve had in Italy after eating Chinese food for more than a week. The owner is Chinese himself, but he clearly has a strong prejudice against Chinese customers. From the moment we walked in, we could hear him talking about how difficult Chinese customers are. When someone asked if he was Chinese, he actually tried to pretend that he was Italian. Does he seriously forget that even his own appearance gives it away? The beef noodles in the picture didn’t have any soup, but the menu said they came with soup. When we asked about it, the owner was extremely impatient and didn’t even want to answer us. He simply pushed us off to a staff member who couldn’t speak Chinese. Meanwhile, a local customer sitting at the table next to us received completely different treatment. The owner was very friendly and attentive to them, even helping pull out their chairs and set the table. The difference was honestly unbelievable. And then came the worst part. After we finished eating, we had probably been sitting there for about 20 minutes. One of the girls went to the restroom to touch up her makeup, which is completely normal. When she came back, the owner immediately came over and said, in an extremely rude tone, “How much longer are you going to sit here?” We had all paid a €1.00 seating charge. I was already extremely angry at that point, so I asked him, “Isn’t the seating fee supposed to cover this? Why are you only rushing us and not the other customers?” His response was that Chinese customers tend to have people come in and ask them to give up their seats. He said we could stay a little longer if someone came, but that we should provide some convenience for him instead of asking, “How much longer are you going to sit here?” The owner then kept complaining about how, apparently just yesterday, some Chinese customers had ordered xiaolongbao and stayed for an hour, and even left him a bad review. Then he said that he doesn’t want to serve Chinese customers. Honestly, if you’re going to give us such terrible service just because we’re Chinese, why would you expect us to give you a good review? If one star is already this generous, maybe you deserve two zeros instead. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
